Protecting your Phones & Tablets

From mobile phones to full-blown desktop tablets, all of your devices can come into danger at some point – you might leave your tablet on the train, or spill lemonade on your laptop, so you need to make sure they’re protected with a good protective case.

Insurance is the obvious choice, and you can get it pretty cheap from a whole range of places; it may seem a pain to be paying out monthly, but it’s better than having to spend a huge chunk of money if you drop your phone and crack the screen! Some items are protected under your home insurance, too, so that’s worth checking out.

Screen protectors are so important – they hardly change the look of your phone, but ensure that it’s protected from any scratches, chips and cracks. If you don’t mind changing the look of your device, protective cases come in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs, and they’re an easy (and often stylish) way to keep your gadgets safe.

Common sense is important when it comes to looking after your gadgets – keep them out of sight rather than leaving them on show in your car, and be wary that your phone will probably slide out of your back pocket at any given moment. You can even have your devices marked with UV pen at your local police station, in case they should ever go missing.

It’s not just the outside of your devices that could do with being protected: make sure your anti-virus software is up to date, and that your passwords are strong. Follow these tips and your gadgets should live long and happy lives!
